| USAF Negative Number: 90240 AC NASM Videodisc Number: 4A?25894 AIRPLANES: BATTLE DAMAGE A photograph standing by at the 18th Fighter Bomber Wing in Korea caught this picture of 1st Lt. David L. Gray, Route 6, Selma, Ala., making an emergency wheels?up landing at his unit's airfield. His F?51 was damaged while flying close support missions for UN ground operations, making the unusual landing necessary. Lt. Gray walked away from the plane without a scratch. September 1952. |
