AIRPLANES: BATTLE DAMAGE FIFTH AIR FORCE, KOREA ??? "That wasn't made by termites," says Capt. Anthony J. Katauski, left of Gillespie, Ill., as he shows his wingman Capt. George D. Aiken, of Brewer , Me., where a 20mm shell, fired by a MIG?15, struck his aircraft on his 95th mission. Captain Katauski's aircraft was hit when the two airmen of the 67th Tactical Reconnaissance Wing were jumped by a flight of MIGs as they were returning form a photographic reconnaissance mission in thier unarmed U.S. Air Force RG?80 "Shooting Stars." In the ensuing dogfight, Captain Katauski and his wingman forced the fight to such low altitudes that two of the enemy planes are believed to have crashed when they were unable to pull out of their dives.
